Shelter Hope for Humanity Resettlement Assistance Initiative – 2025

May 27, 2025 @ 8:00 am - December 7, 2027 @ 5:00 pm

As part of its mission to serve humanity, Shelter Hope for Humanity welcomed and supported two newly arrived immigrants—John G. Che and Connor G. Mark, who entered the United States on May 27, 2025. Members of the organization received them at the airport and provided comprehensive care and support for approximately seven months.

During this period, Shelter Hope for Humanity assisted with key resettlement and integration steps, including accompanied visits to the Social Security Administration, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), and other relevant institutions to complete essential documentation. This support contributed to securing important records, including Social Security cards and driver’s licenses, and also with driving training lessons. The organization also connected them with the Job Center, supported their job search process, and provided driving training to help strengthen their independence and mobility.

After successfully completing the documentation process, both individuals secured employment and obtained housing. In December 2025, they transitioned from Shelter Hope for Humanity’s care to their own apartment.

Shelter Hope for Humanity is encouraged by their successful transition and remains committed to offering them support as need arises.
